Faith

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him (Heb 11:6 nlt).
Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence (Eph 3:12 nlt).
. . . hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil (Eph 6:16 nlt).
For we walk by faith, not by sight (2Cor 5:7 esv).
We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith (Heb 12:2 nlt).
Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory (Rom 5:2 nlt).

Heavenly Father, faith is the context of our life with you. It is impossible to come to you without faith. If I want to come to you today, I must come believing that you are who you say you are, and that you will respond to me as I seek you in sincere faith.
It’s because of our faith in you Jesus, that we can now come boldly and confidently into your presence. I can come directly into your throne room today Lord, where I will find grace and mercy to help in my time of need.
And I must hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the enemy. Lord, please give me the gift of faith to protect and strengthen me in my walk with you.
We walk by faith and not by sight Lord. We don’t respond to what we see, we respond to what we believe. My faith drives me Lord, it directs me, it sets my path.
Lord, the only way I can do this is by keeping my eyes firmly fixed on you. That’s the secret; keeping my eyes firmly fixed on you. No wavering, no distraction. Draw me near to you Lord, consume my focus. Allow me to see only you, and be directed by my faith in you.
Thank you Lord, for the gift of faith that has brought me into this undeserved privilege where I now stand, and Lord, I confidently and joyfully look forward to even sharing in your glory. It’s too much to really grasp Lord. It’s overwhelming. Thank you. In Jesus name, amen.
